One of Australia’s largest bird of prey sanctuaries dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of injured, orphaned or displaced raptors.

From up-close encounters to lush native forest trails, a visit to Capes Raptor Centre will provide you with the unique opportunity to meet and interact with birds of prey, including; eagles, hawks, falcons and owls.

Stop by for one of the twice daily Birds of Prey Encounters at 11am & 2pm, an awe-inspiring experience that takes you one step closer to birds of prey.

Marvel at the birds’ unique adaptions and natural behaviours and experience the rare opportunity to have your photograph taken with a barn owl!

An easy hike down one of the native forest trails, will allow you to explore and enjoy the bushland sanctuary, which is home to over 40 resident birds of prey.

Capes Raptor Centre, established as Eagles Heritage, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of raptors. Our facility and staff are fully equipped to meet the unique needs of these magnificent birds. In cases where release is not possible, we provide a safe home and long-term care.

Your visit and admission supports the ongoing protection and preservation of birds of prey through rehabilitation, conservation, and education.

There are two Birds of Prey Encounters daily at 11am & 2pm and is the highlight of the visit.

You can complete your self-guided birds of prey forest walk before or after the encounter.
